Efficacy Study of
Reading Horizons Discovery

Help us learn if your students will benefit from adopting the evidence-based early literacy program Reading Horizons Discovery® (RHD).

McREL is seeking district partners who are interested in implementing the Reading Horizons Discovery program to discover the impact on your students’ reading skills in comparison to those not using the program.

The study will begin with K–2 classroom teachers in Fall 2022 and will conclude in Spring 2023. Participating teachers will receive full access to RHD for the study year at no cost, as well as professional learning and continuous implementation support from Reading Horizons.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to support early

What are we trying to find out?

RHD will be used as a foundational resource to supplement existing core reading curriculum adopted by schools and districts. Our key research questions are:
  • How is RHD implemented in K–2 general education classrooms?
  • Does RHD improve teaching?
  • Does RHD improve learning?
  • Does RHD work better for certain student groups than for others?

  • Free access to RHD for the entire school year.
