| Goals/Objectives | Teaching academic vocabulary often yields immediate gains in student achievement. During this one-day, on-site workshop, participants will- understand the degree to which vocabulary development impacts student achievement;
- understand current research and theory on vocabulary development and how this research impacts the classroom; and
- learn practical strategies they can use the next day for teaching vocabulary in the classroom.
