 | Most educators recognize the importance of using data to make decisions. However, they generally have varying levels of comfort in actually using and/or leading others in using data.The Power of Data workshop utilizes McREL's data-driven decision making process—using data, or factual information, to make informed decisions about policies, practices, and procedures—to teach participants how they can use data to improve student achievement. | | Description | During this two-day workshop, participants learn how to form data leadership teams within their schools, collect and organize data, analyze and interpret that data, and make informed decisions. By the end of this workshop, participants will- Know characteristics and examples of four types of data,
- Be familiar with analyzing and interpreting different types of data, and
- Understand a general process for generating hypotheses and translating them into improvement strategies.
