Each Designing Effective Science Lessons workshop is designed to present new information and provide opportunities to explore, practice, discuss, and personalize that information. Participants will learn new strategies to help them design highly effective science lessons. Each strategy presented includes:
- What the Research Says:
Identifies the research on which the strategy is based and the implications of that research for teachers. - Exploring Effective Strategies:
Each strategy is modeled and then practiced or discussed, supporting the role of each participant as a reflective learner. - Planning for Classroom Implementation:
Self-assessment and personalized planning tools help teachers continue using the strategies learned, and expand on them over time.
