McREL Technology Solutions (MTS) is a comprehensive, customized service package designed to move your school or district forward in its use of technology as a tool to enhance student learning. McREL will be your partner, over time, to help your organization grow in its comfort and expertise in using technology as a tool for learning. MTS can build capacity at all levels and, ultimately, increase student achievement through more effective instruction, curricula, professional development, and leadership. The three stages of MTS begin when McREL conducts a comprehensive assessment of your school or district's technology infrastructure and surveys teachers and administrators regarding use, comfort, and understanding of technology as a tool for learning. These survey results guide the development of the second stage, which is collaborating with your school or district to create a comprehensive plan. In the final stage, McREL consultants help you select from an array of professional development options, (e.g., workshops, one-on-one mentoring, and technical consulting), to meet the needs of your unique learning environment. The first step of the MTS program is a comprehensive assessment of your school or district's technology infrastructure and/or a survey of teachers regarding their use of technology and their comfort in using technology in the classroom. Administrators also are surveyed to determine their understanding of and support for technology as a tool for learning. These survey results are used to develop a comprehensive plan in collaboration with your school or district.
