Service Description:

McREL develops standards in house, conducts comparative and qualitative analyses, and produces a final document and/or reports. We also give hands-on support in the field to facilitate the implementation of standards.

Key Ideas:

We can:

• Develop standards in new content areas, such as career education, prekindergarten, and post-secondary
• Show teachers how to teach learning expectations by “unpacking” them from standards
• Develop instructional materials (e.g., sample activities, lesson plans, and classroom assessment items) that align with standards
• Develop “crosswalks” from one content area to another—identifying similarities in learning expectations across content areas
