Product Description:
The 2020 Forecast: Creating the Future of Learning is the second "forecast" that examines the future of education created by the KnowledgeWorks Foundation with the Institute for the Future. This policy brief, co-written by McREL and KnowledgeWorks, is part of a series designed to engage leaders in co-creating the future of learning, resulting in high academic achievement and improved life outcomes for all students.
Key Ideas:
This brief examines the policy implications of two drivers of change: Pattern Recognition and Amplified Organization. These drivers describe a world in which we will increasingly collaborate, improvise, and work together to find meaning from vast amounts of data. The brief explores the new skills policymakers will need, referred to as "amplified policymaking," to navigate the data-driven world.
