Product Description:
States that adopt the Common Core State Standards have the option to identify as much as 15 percent in additional standards. This project surveyed all states that have adopted the Common Core and identified states that elected to add content. The report describes the process states used and the content that was added, organized by the Common Core standards.
Key Ideas:
As of December 1, 2011, 30 adopting states and territories haven’t yet stated whether or not they will identify additional standards. Eight states have elected not to add content, though four of these states reserve the option to add standards going forward. Eleven states have elected to add standards.
