How our work is supported
Our work is supported by a combination of royalties from product sales and licenses, state and local contracts for professional development and consulting, and federal funds. Our major federal programs, projects, and grants are listed below.
REL Central at McREL
Through our U.S. Department of Education-funded regional educational laboratory contract, we provide research-based guidance to educators in a seven-state region.
North Central Comprehensive Center
We provide research-based services to education agencies of five states through our U.S. Department of Education-funded U.S. North Central Comprehensive Center.
National Partnership for Quality Afterschool Learning
As a subcontractor to the Southwest Educational Development Laboratory (SEDL), we provides training and technical assistance to afterschool program staff in a 14-state region that spans from Colorado to Ohio.
NASA / JPL
McREL supports education and public outreach for two NASA space missions, Genesis and Dawn.
