As a project employee at McREL, Jacinta develops high-end science content into learning materials, including electronic learning tools that depict the benefits of space exploration and explore nanotechnology and its applications. She has managed McREL’s Education and Public Outreach projects for NASA’s Discovery missions and PBS TeacherLine’s online teaching reading and writing courses. She designs and develops cross-curricular educational materials for use by formal (classroom) and informal (community) audiences, translates Web-based materials for use in educational contexts, and serves as a meeting facilitator and workshop presenter. Jacinta holds an M.A. in Communications from Colorado State University, a B.A. in Germany from Washburn University, and a certification in secondary and gifted education.
