Sandra Weeks, a lead consultant in McREL's Education and Public Outreach Department, provides science education expertise, K–12 instructional materials design, and professional development. Among other projects, she contributes to NanoTeach, funded by the National Science Foundation; NASA's Dawn mission, through UCLA; and the Discovery and Stardust/NExT missions, through the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Prior to joining McREL, Sandra was a high school science teacher for over five years. Sandra holds a bachelor's degree in science with an emphasis in zoology and a minor in chemistry from Colorado State University, as well as a master's in non-profit management from Regis University in Denver.
