As a principal consultant for McREL, Mel provides Balanced Leadership® training and consultation to a diverse client base. In this capacity, he was appointed team leader, researcher, and writer for the leadership section of the Stupski Literature Review Project. He also presents professional development in school-level leadership, personnel evaluation and Classroom Instruction that Works®. Additionally, he is the Breakfast n' Learn coordinator, building regional networks in Colorado and throughout the United States. In 2008, his article on the power of professional development was published in McREL's Changing Schools magazine.
