At McREL’s Pacific Center for Changing the Odds, Sena conducts research and provides programmatic support to McREL’s work in the Pacific Region. Prior to joining McREL, Sena taught English with the Center for Asia and Pacific Exchange and served as a Peace Corps representative and recruiter for the state of Hawaii. Additionally, Sena has served on the Pacific Country Desk at U.S. Peace Corps and worked in education and nonprofits in the Kingdom of Tonga. Sena holds a bachelor’s degree in studio art from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota, and a master’s in second language studies from the University of Hawaii.
