As a principal researcher with McREL's Pacific Center for Changing the Odds, Wendy provides educators with resources and assistance in the areas of professional development, educational research, and program monitoring and evaluation. She also provides on-going coaching through McREL's Success in Sight school improvement program to schools in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.  Prior to joining McREL, Wendy conducted educational research and evaluation studies that explored the influences of culture-based initiatives on teaching practices in the classroom and correspondingly, students' learning and socio-emotional development. She has been published in Hūlili: Multidisciplinary Research on Hawaiian Well-being. Wendy holds an M.A. in educational psychology from the University of Hawai`i at Mānoa.
