Vicki provides consultation, technical assistance, and professional development to states, districts, and schools in the areas of standards implementation, assessment, and effective instructional practices. She also provides consultation and coaching to states and districts in transitioning to Common Core State Standards. Through the North Central Comprehensive Center at McREL, she is a liaison to the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction, where she supports schools in improving student achievement through curriculum development. Prior to McREL, Vicki taught for 24 years in Wyoming school districts, and for the past 15 years has held various central office positions, including Instruction/Assessment Specialist, Staff Development Coordinator, Secondary Coordinator, and director of Teaching and Learning in the Curriculum & Instruction Division. Vicki holds a master’s of science teaching in natural science and a doctorate in curriculum and instruction from the University of Wyoming in Laramie.
