As a principal consultant at McREL, Kathleen works as a member of the field services team to provide services, strategies, and materials to support improvement in mathematics education, curriculum development, and instructional technology. She also serves as the director of the North Central Comprehensive Center, overseeing, developing, and conducting workshops and providing technical assistance to help states implement the requirements of the No Child Left Behind Act. Prior to joining McREL, she served as the secondary mathematics coordinator for Virginia Beach City Public Schools, coordinating the mathematics program for 15 middle schools and 13 high schools. Kathleen holds an M.Ed. in Educational Supervision from The College of William and Mary, a B.S. in Elementary Education from Old Dominion University, and endorsements in mathematics-Algebra I, gifted education, and middle school education.
