McREL sends condolences to Inouye family
Denver—McREL offers its condolences to the Inouye family, the people of Hawai’i, and the nation on the passing of Senator Daniel Inouye, who ably represented Hawai´i in Congress for 50 years.
“Senator Inouye was a gentleman, a statesman, and a leader, not just for his home state, but for our country as a whole,” said Tim Waters, McREL’s president and chief executive officer. “He will be missed by the people he represented and millions of others who benefitted from his vision and dedication.”
Waters and colleagues at McREL praised Senator Inouye for working tirelessly to promote economic and social progress in Hawai’i, the Pacific Region, and across the U.S.
As a Medal of Honor recipient for his service in World War II, for his championing of justice and opportunity for Native and minority populations of Hawai’i, Alaska, and the mainland U.S., and for his steadfast bipartisan leadership on behalf of his country, Senator Inouye will be remembered for his heroism and lifelong service to others.
